San Saba, the seat of San Saba County, is a peaceful town with a population that hovers between 2,000 and 3,000. Despite our small town atmosphere, we are well known throughout the world for our annual pecan crop, which is shipped to locations all around the globe. San Saba is served by U.S. Highway 190 and State Highway 16.

Located in east central San Saba County, San Saba was first settled in 1854 and named for its location on the San Saba River.

There is fantastic fishing in the San Saba River with a fish cleaning site. Gorman Falls, located within the park, can be visited by guided tour. Participants caravan from the park headquarters to the Gorman area and hike over the beautiful Hill Country terrain to the falls.
